ANALYTICS PROGRAMMER

As a CAVU programmer you will have the ability to interpret algorithms and write code in "R" in open source data analysis environments.  In addition, strong language skills in Perl, C++ and Java will be of importance.  Candidates should also demonstrate experience in SQL and NoSQL database management systems.  Data visualization skills with PowerBI are also useful.  Experience with SAS products is not required, but useful. 

The ideal candidate will have the basic concepts of big data and predictive analytics, predictive modeling and business analytics.  

 
 

DATA SCIENTIST

As a CAVU Data Scientist, you will provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across our portfolio of clients.

The idea candidate will be able to advocate, evangelize and build data-fuelled products that help our customers improve their business outcomes. You will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core consulting services and the CAVU Global Marketplace.  

It will be expected you are capable of interacting with finance, marketing, product development teams and line-of-business leaders to present, articulate and help provide answers to complex customer challenges. 

 
 

DATA CONSULTANT

As a CAVU Data Consultant you'll be spending a lot of time understanding our clients' current business model and data architecture as well as their long term goals for the business and key data-related analytics they need to run it. In addition, you will have to understand the Big Data landscape. You will understand that Big Data is a puzzle with many different pieces - persistence layer (hadoop), batch processing, message processing, security and access control, governance, quality, data wrangling etc.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with all the pieces of the puzzle and how they fit in. They will also understand the differences between Big Data and Small data implementations and how and when a client should introduce Big Data into their environment.
